This track is hot off the press, a simple but perhaps beguiling progressive trance number that I put together in about two hours. This was at around 4am this morning when most sane people are asleep but for the artists amongst us, it is so frequently when the muse strikes.
Pellucidus is Latin, meaning, “shining, transparent,” from pellucere, “to shine through,” from per-, “through” + lucere, “to shine.” It refers to transmitting light; able to be seen through with clarity or of language: transparently clear; easily understandable.
‘It’s a Fine Day’ was a hit when I was growing up and remains a trance classic to this day. It has been remixed by musical giants like AT, Ruff Driverz and recently by Leon Bolier. I humbly submit my rendition.
Absolutely glorious. I’m completely lost as to how you created such an intense orchestral environment. What do you use to make your music? The song reminded me of Rob Dougan’s stuff (heard of him?) really surrounding and overpowering. Awesome stuff.
10/10 Beautiful… so melancholic…
This is soul-moving work, man. It’s nice to see an artist who isn’t limited to one or only a few genres. Those string synths sound great! Perhaps a little reverb work, and they will sound like the real deal. This is going on my playlist!
10/10 definitely a sustainable mood piece
interesting combo of organic (strings) and electronics … doesn’t wander too far afield straight diatonic much … comforting … hopeful …
10/10 Refuge
Well this is a departure from melodic trance (though some people insist calling trance the classical music of our time). Though, this could probably work really well as an intro track to a trance album. The piano and strings are great by the way, very soundtrack-like. Great sense of sadness. A moving piece!
10/10 A delicious ambient treat.
Nice work you’ve got going there! Sounds progressive almost, especially near the beginning. I loved the beginning! It also sounds tribal in a way, if you put it from one perspective. This is going on my playlist!
10/10 SO Calming
Very laid back and peaceful, Just what I was searching for. I loved the pads that sweetly flowed early on, and then was slowly built upon with different percussions and drums. Ahigh ranked tune that hit all the marks. Great song!
Very nice track. I have no suggestions (which is rare for me).
I like the crunchy drums that come in early on with the back beat on 4 only. It’s hard to make that work and it sounds great in this context. Good job!
This is my trance remix of ‘Shadow Knows‘ by the awesome Canadian rock band Jets Overhead.
I’m a big fan of Jets Overhead, I love their vocal harmonies and instrumentation. You can download all their tracks from their website and donate money toward the cost of the production. I recommend it. They share my philosophy of music distribution:
Microgroove Records believes that new systems for distributing music should be driven by the public rather than by existing paradigms which no longer apply to the digital world. We believe that we all deserve freedom of choice in determining how to acquire music legally (including licensed P2P, digital music stores, traditional CD retail, etc), and we believe the core values of portability and ease of acquisition are central to the future. We believe that the importance of music in our daily lives is stronger than ever thanks to file-sharing and the digital revolution, but that the record business needs to adapt as soon as possible to a changed world.
Until this happens, we are happy to give away music through the free downloads on the left, as this is the only method available to us for worldwide distribution. However, we do believe that in principle music should be paid for, and that eventually the industry will adapt with flexibility rather than prosecution. If in the meantime you would like to support the band by voluntarily paying for downloaded songs that you enjoy and plan to continue listening to, please follow the button below to a PayPal link.We would suggest 60 cents for each individual track, $5 for the whole Bridges LP, or $2 for the Jets Overhead EP, but there is no obligation to do so. The Jets Overhead catalogue is also available on iTunes, emusic, Napster, CDBaby, Amazon, MapleMusic, and at retail stores throughout Canada. Thanks!
10/10 Very nice ..
This track has a very unique melody … coming mainly from the guitar’ish sounding synth … the vocals are very good .. could have had a little effects on it .. the basslines have a very good melody .. the guitar/synth combo gives out a killer melody (15/10 for it) … very well done ..
10/10 dude your music track is off the hook
you take the vocals out and this is HOT!!! maybe what id do with this is only use parts of the vocals cuz this track has enough energy to hold its own, kinda what you did around the 3:40 mark… dude great job
9/10 Good Remix
I like both the trance influences and the rock, they came together into a really great harmony. Thank you for your review, always good to hear what people have to say. This was one of the better songs I have heard lately, really enjoyable. Thanks again!
9/10 Not really trance
More light rock alternative, with a techno edge. Cool use of the vocals and samples. Its one of the coolest entries with the progression and the revrb and FX especially on the vocals. Really great work! Thanks!
I started listening to this an thought, trance? this is in the wrong section, then the sequenced b-line came in and i thought ahh trance but with guitars, this works well the electronic and the rock gel so good together. rated
im a huge fan of rocktronica. and the arper in the background is the perfect sound. id consider mixing this in a set. allow it for download so i can grab one. good work.
cool intro guitars are sweet and the hats sound sick, rolling bassline sequence is not bad but i do like the sound of that bass the way it changes sound throughout the track. fx’s are sick too! percussion is deff impressive with that hat work. vocals effects are done quite well panning to reverb to delays all tasty fillers in the track.
that lead is sweeeeeet! i luve it cutoff levels adjusting are nice, now its plucking behind the vocals nicely. vocals fit so well in this track. the chords u chose are fitting well with those pads too! overall a great mix between rock and trance, enjoyed the listen. cool mix!
very nice intro,a very modern eighties type track, this is something else:)great wee guitar section, feckin great track,no download really enjoyed this tune, thumbs up.
Morphs really well from the hardness of the rock piece and I can only echo whats been said before about the Arp bass and the vocals. Good piece this one.
ist whwen i clicked it , it started like a rock intro … then in came the nice electronic sounds.. nice arping bass line .. hey them vocals are great dude .. really envy you with vox in your trance .. i tried and failed many a time.. nice break . class build up . love the synths mels you got in this .. percusion kool and the drums .. might add love that mn kick .. also hear a elec gutair in this which blends the mix imo .. great use of fx this gonna be a massive..
